Detailed map of Belarus in Russian
The trip didn’t go well from the very beginning, we arrived at the boarding point, got on the bus, we were waiting, the drivers were digging under the bus. After 15 minutes it turns out that the bus is not working properly and the tour is postponed to the next day.
The next day the departure took place. A little about the bus: the TV in the back seats was almost inaudible, especially if the fan was on (but I was lucky, I was sitting in the first one), at night, when it was time to sleep, I discovered that there was a draft from the window, enough to freeze. On the way, we still broke down and spent an hour repairing the bus.
The rest of the road passed without incident.
On the plus side, it’s probably worth noting that upon arrival at 2 o’clock in the morning we were immediately checked in (but I assume this is due to the fact that we had to arrive a day earlier)
Hotel: the rooms are standard, but they were not particularly cleaned, the next day no one came to clean our room, as on the following days, we had to take out the trash ourselves (since the food smelled) and take soap supplies from their baskets ourselves.
Shopping: well, nothing like that happened here, the prices are the same, only the yuan is twice as high.
Departure: upon entry we were told that on the last evening we would have a weigh-in and we were immediately informed whether we were leaving at night or in the morning. Shortly before the weigh-in, we were told to leave at night, then they said that everything had changed, there were a lot of people at customs and we were leaving in the morning. It wasn't fatal.
The morning gathering was at 10, we left around 11, and arrived at the border at the beginning of eleven. Then the fun began: there were a lot of cars ahead, we went together to the waiting room, after about 4 hours of waiting, the drivers offered us to chip in 400 rubles each (16 people in total) in order to skip the line, like a regular bus, this offer did not cause much enthusiasm from people, because this was offered after 4 hours, and 400 rubles is not so little, in the end, after 6 hours of painful waiting, we crossed the Chinese border. But that was something else, horror awaited us in Russian, from 2 halls the drivers chose one and directed us there, in this hall, according to my calculations, there were about 70 people and all with trunks (the so-called merchants). We barely fit into this room and began to wait, as it turned out later, there was only one tape to work with, after 4 hours we managed to persuade the inspector to let us through one. So we crossed the border, loaded up, but that was not the case, our group was assembled, BUT, the drivers took strangers for transportation across the border (paid, of course), and these people went to another hall, and we sat and waited for about 30 minutes , then we went anyway.
Then there was a drive to the warehouse, where we were loading, I don’t know what we were loading, because all our things were already loaded, but it wasn’t too annoying, since this is normal practice, then we ate. We ended up leaving at two in the morning.
There was also a breakdown on the way back, but it turned out to be minor and was fixed in about 20 minutes.
My overall impressions of the trip are terrible, this is my second time traveling with an auto policy, and I note that the service has dropped below zero.

A medical insurance policy is not included in the list of required documents for obtaining a Chinese tourist visa. However, the consulate warns that it may be requested additionally. In addition, you may be asked to show insurance when crossing the border. The minimum amount of coverage is 30,000 USD, but since medicine in this country is expensive, it is recommended to increase this amount to 50,000 USD.
No vaccinations are officially required to travel to China, but the environment in this country is not very good, so flu (including swine flu), SARS and other viral diseases spread here at the speed of light. So it is recommended to get a flu shot. Accident insurance won't hurt either, since China is home to malaria-carrying mosquitoes and ticks. If you are bitten, you should immediately consult a doctor.
In large cities - Beijing, Shanghai, etc. - theft flourishes, although in general the crime situation in this country is calm. So, just in case, it is worth insuring the documents so that in case of loss, the insurance company will quickly make duplicates and restore the originals at its own expense.
In large cities in China, the level of medicine is very high. The clinics have modern equipment, and the doctors are not only qualified, but also speak English. In some cities (especially small towns) there is a chance of going to a people's hospital, where traditional Chinese medicine is used - treatment with plants, animal organs, etc. If the case is serious, it is better to go to a more familiar clinic.
All medical care in the country is provided on an insurance basis. In its absence, an initial consultation with a doctor will cost 25-35 USD depending on the hospital, tooth filling - 25-65 USD, a day in the hospital - from 20 to 200 USD depending on the conditions. Prices on the page are as of November 2018.
Free first aid is provided to all those in need only at the Red Cross Society.
Insurance to China can be obtained directly from the insurance company or on the website of any aggregator. Most convenient. Here it is enough to indicate the duration of the trip, the country or zone, the age of the tourist - and within a minute you can get insurance for yourself.
Basic insurance for a week with a coverage amount of 50,000 USD will cost approximately 350 RUB, including accident insurance will increase this amount to 650 RUB, and insurance against loss of documents will cost an additional 150 RUB.
The first thing you need to do when an insured event occurs is to call the company (the phone number is in the policy). She will confirm whether the case is truly considered insured and tell you what to do next. | |
